2011: In Bullets and Pictures

Continuing a tradition I started last year, here’s a look back at 2011, in bullets, links and photos. In 2011, I:

  • Registered for a marathon

  • Started seeing a therapist
  • Began my year of races — in which I ran 24 races

  • Turned 30
  • Hiked the Grand Canyon — and did so many other wonderful things during the Rosebud Extravaganza

  • Stopped focusing on losing weight
  • Started focusing on running and being healthy — mind, body, spirit
  • Fell in love with my body — exactly as it is
  • Learned more about running and form and proper training
  • Ran a half marathon

  • Learned that being single doesn’t mean life has to stop
  • Went skydiving

  • Tried trail running
  • Took a vacation all by myself to Massachusetts

  • Served as a Fitness Ambassador for the governor
  • Moved my Rosebud to Kansas
  • Ran the Mackinac Bridge on Labor Day

  • Made lots of new friends — and met many of my fellow blogging pals for the first time in person
  • Spent lots and lots of time with my family
